When Georgia Sen. Saxby Chambliss emerged from today’s closed-door sessions for lawmakers on the events in Benghazi, Libya on Sept. 11, Fox News cameras were waiting. Among the insight that Chambliss was willing to share was that those involved knew immediately that the assault on the U.S. consulate and CIA annex was a premeditated terrorist attack.

Saxby Chambliss says immediately after seeing video scene during Benghazi hearings, "It was very obvious this was a terrorist act day one".

Saxby Chambliss on Fox: 30 min video shown today on Capitol Hill shows undoubtably #benghazi was a terror attack.

On Fox News: Sen. Chambliss said "There will be an open hearing for the public so the public can see it."

So, if it was obvious from Day 1 that the attack didn’t arise from a “spontaneous” protest over a YouTube video, how does that explain Amb. Susan Rice’s many Sunday morning appearances repeating that theory?
Chambliss "what Susan Rice said is exactly what Obama told her to say…."

Chambliss: Rice said exactly what she was told to say…She went out and gave a "political statement".

Saxby Chambliss nailed it. Susan Rice said exactly what Barack Hussein Obama told her to say! Now they both have to go for lies, cover up!

That’s the question we’d all like to hear answered, but it seems we’ll have to wait a bit longer.
What about the emerging story that the CIA was holding Libyan prisoners at the annex in Benghazi — a story which was spread by David Petraeus biographer Paula Broadwell at a speech in Denver and emerged in the wake of his resignation over their affair?
Senate Intel Vice Chair Saxby Chambliss says he does not believe there were detainees at the CIA annex in Benghazi.

@krauthammer Saxby Chambliss contradicts Broadwell's comment regarding CIA annex – BUT such a conclusion contradicts Fox News reports.

Petraeus is scheduled to testify tomorrow morning. That session will be closed to the public, but hopefully cameras will be waiting outside the door; we’ve waited long enough already for answers.
