Ariz. Gov. Jan Brewer claims popular support for bar against IDs for illegals

As the Obama administration’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program went into effect nationwide on Wednesday, Ariz. Gov. Jan Brewer pushed back quickly, issuing her own executive order to block the issuing of drivers’ licenses and benefits under the program.

Twitter opinion was split, but tonight Brewer says that public comment to her office is running 7-to-1 in favor of the executive order.
