Earlier today, President Donald Trump made a comment about how the government should take away someone’s guns if they may have a mental illness and then worry about due process later
NRA Spokeswoman Dana Loesch appeared on Fox News to talk about what Trump said. And, not surprisingly, the NRA is at odds with Trump on this issue.
.@DLoesch: “The NRA is also going to protect due process for innocent Americans, and that is an approach that we are going to hold to. Due process must be respected…it is a foundational principle of this country.” #TheStory pic.twitter.com/DzCFowEsYN

Due process is the anchor for all other liberties

Exactly. Our Founding Fathers wanted to make sure people’s rights were protected.
I have not seen many women in my life that are as strong, feminine, articulated and Godly as @DLoesch I hope the Lord keeps her safe in these times. God bless.

She’s a powerhouse.
I say you better buy your guns now and your ammo now because there's going to be about a 30000 page Manifesto you will fill out in order to buy a gun. And the approval process will take years

Sadly, you’re probably right.
Our Constitution isn't up for debate. Our Constitution isn't up for sale. The Parkland tradegy wouldn't of happened if ppl in our gvmnt just followed the laws and procedures in place!
What good is makeing laws and procedures if they are not followed or punished for not doing so!— Kyle Davis (@kmindeye) March 1, 2018
Of course, the lefties had to get in on the action.
How do you know if they are innocent before protecting their rights to due process?

The Fifth Amendment says no person “shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.”

No one is talking about an armed rebellion. That’s just your interpretation of things.

Glad you’re getting entertainment out of it. You should be concerned about the lack of due process for ANY American in this said situation.
As a country we have gone after Big Tobacco with positive results for most Americans; we are gearing up to after Big Pharma and Opioids to prevent avoidable deaths; and it is past time we go after Big Guns and @NRA with the same vigor to protect all Americans.

You can’t compare the NRA to big Pharma and tobacco. Neither one of those are Constitutionally-protected rights.
