Cher trivializes suicide, compares it to success of Tea Party

Apparently Cher doesn’t know when to shut up. Her bitterness towards the right reached a new low tonight when the formerly relevant pop singer tweeted that she was “Having Sad Moment!” (sic) regarding the “Tparty taking over USA” (sic) and “Children committing suicide.” Her tweet came after she retweeted a fan who linked to a news story about a bullying victim committing suicide.

Despite what Cher may think, suicide is a serious issue that Hollywood has a history of trivializing. It’s anything but a political punchline.

Class it up, Cher.
