Milwaukee County Circuit Court judge Hannah Dugan was arrested today, charged with two felonies for obstructing justice after she helped an illegal immigrant, Eduardo Flores Ruiz, in her court evade ICE arrest.
Dugan is the second judge to be arrested this week. New Mexico Judge Joel Cano was taken into custody after he and his wife were caught housing an illegal immigrant member of the Tren de Aragua gang.
As a resident of Milwaukee County and someone who voted for President Trump, I welcome the arrest of Judge Dugan.

According to Milwaukee radio host Dan O'Donnell, Dugan didn't simply hide Flores Ruiz in her courtroom; she altered court records to make it appear Flores Ruiz was never there, so he could evade ICE arrest and deportation.
The Left, always eager to turn the worst actors into their martyr du jour, are already comparing Judge Dugan to the people who hid Anne Frank from the Nazis (she's not), and Wisconsin Senator Tammy Baldwin is decrying the arrest as a relentless attack on the judicial system.

You'll notice Senator Baldwin didn't address the charges filed against Judge Dugan. She doesn't address the fact Flores Ruiz was in Judge Dugan's court on charges of domestic battery, or that he's in the country illegally -- all violations of state and federal law.
So is Sen. Baldwin arguing that judges or any officials in any branch of government should be immune from arrest when they violate the law? Is she really arguing this? Didn't her party's prosecutors try to jail Donald Trump? Where was she then? https://t.co/XBaN2ufzox

Yes, that's what she's arguing.
I recall not too long ago, Democrats were eager for the courts to do away with presidential immunity so they could file more charges against President Trump. Funny how that changed.
The blunt truth of the matter is: this is who the Democrats are, and this is what the Democratic Party supports. Rules are meant to be followed by the Republicans, the little guys, and everyone but the Democratic Party (and their preferred voting blocs).
Breaking the law, or engaging in lawfare (whichever best suits their immediate political need) is now the core of Democrat politics. They believe it is in service of their resistance to President Trump.
There are many faults with this logic, however.
First and foremost, the Democrats spent the better part of the last four years telling us no one is above the law as they dragged President Trump through a sham trial in Manhattan and tried, repeatedly, to find other avenues to charge him with crimes.
They made it very clear they aimed to keep him out of the White House, no matter the cost.
They also sneered at us that if someone they accused of crimes did nothing wrong, they had nothing to hide or fear. Funny how that doesn't apply to Judge Dugan.
I warned at the time they'd regret doing away with every judicial norm, rule of law, and code of ethics. I said they wouldn't like it when they lost power and their rules were used against them.
Turns out, I was correct.
The shoe is now on the other foot, and they don't like it one bit.
Ask me if I care.
I don't like the usurpation of the rule of law or due process, but I can also read the room: Democrats are playing Calvinball while expecting Republicans to follow the Constitution so that -- the moment Democrats regain power -- they can do away with both. Joe Biden brought tens of millions of illegals across the border in violation of the law, and the judiciary shrugged.
Just as they have done time and time again. A few months ago, Joe Biden tried to amend the Constitution, and due process wasn't even an afterthought.
To acknowledge this reality is key, and I think a lot of voters are waking up to the fact Democrats have their thumbs on the scales of justice.
Second, voters want illegal immigrants deported and immigration laws enforced. A majority of voters, across several polls, say the same thing. In Maryland, a Fox News reporter asked what residents thought of their senator, Chris Van Hollen, going to El Salvador to release a reported member of MS-13 and bring this 'Maryland dad' back to the states. No one said they favored it.
By using judges and courts to thwart the Trump administration's authority to deport illegal immigrants, the Democratic Party is spitting in the eye of a majority of voters. To try and excuse and defend those who break our laws -- especially judges -- to protect illegal immigrants will not go unnoticed by Americans fed up with Democratic policies.
So much for democracy and the will of the majority, huh?
Third, it's clear Judge Dugan meant to obstruct ICE, and she allegedly altered court records to do so. For the Left -- those supposed paragons of criminal justice reform -- to shrug off such a serious violation of the law (not to mention judicial ethics) is incredible. But not unsurprising. And I'll predict this now, too: some conservative judge will try this, and the Left will lose their minds, including Senator Baldwin.
In short: don't set precedents you don't want to come back to bite you on the rear end, Democrats.
Because -- contrary to what you think -- you are not above the law.
Not anymore.
