Two days ago, I told you, dear reader, about John Fugelsang dipping into my DMs because he was mad I wasn't adequately anti-racist.
He didn't like that I wrote about him, and DMed me again:
Keep it up John, you’re doing great. pic.twitter.com/cElgypzbGo

'Good faith argument'? Really?
This is his idea of a 'good faith' argument:
It’s true. The modern right does not kind racism or discrimination. They hate any efforts to push back against it. That’s BLM, CRT, DEI - anything that’s anti-discrimination is hated by those who eagerly vote for the racist.

Where was Barack Obama born, please, Amy?
He asked the same question about Barack Obama's birth back in September, too.

It's a question I've answered. But since I know Fugelsang is probably reading this (hi, John! Thanks for the clicks!), I'll do it one more time so it sinks in: Barack Obama was born in Hawaii (bookmark this page, John).
Now, here's a question I've asked Fugelsang, and one that he's ignored: Where did Barack Obama say he was born, and why?
I doubt I'll get an answer.
A good faith argument requires both parties to come at it with an open mind. Fugelsang does not. To him, I'm a racist MAGA cult member who hates Jesus and his teachings because I happen to vote and think in a way Fugelsang doesn't like. There is nothing I can say or do -- short of bowing before the Democratic Party and swearing my allegiance -- that will change his mind.
That will never happen.
This morning, Fugelsang messaged me again, asking me to call into his show. I won't reprint the number, but this is what he wrote:
Call our show and tell me why I'm wrong. You don't actually care about the morality, I realize.
Gee, that makes a girl want to talk to you.
I do care about 'the morality' (whatever that means) -- I just have a very different definition of morality than Fugelsang does.
But because I do have a mind more open mind than John, I will extend to him an invitation to join me in a Space on X to hash this out.
The ball's in your court, John. I look forward to your DM.
