One of the basic psychological concepts this writer learned, both in her undergrad Psychology 101 class and nursing school was projection.
Projection is a 'defense mechanism where an individual attributes their own unacceptable thoughts, feelings, or impulses to someone else' and -- hoo boy -- the Democratic Party has mastered the art of attributing their intrusive thoughts on their Republican opponents.
That's why they constantly call us 'racists', 'bigots', and 'Nazis' while treating illegal immigrants like slaves, openly mocking Christians in the public sphere, and protesting in favor of Hamas and other anti-Israel/antisemitic causes.
It's also why Rep. Tim McBride can get up in front of a crowd and tell President Donald Trump to 'keep his hands off' our kids and women's rights:

In the past week, it was Democrats in Colorado who put their hands on kids (metaphorically speaking). The Colorado legislature passed a bill that would criminalize 'deadnaming' and 'misgendering' as 'child abuse.' It's clearly targeted at parents -- one of the possible penalties for not 'affirming' your child's delusions is the loss of custody -- and one of the bill's supporters likened parents' rights groups who objected to the bill to the KKK.
This is the same state where an LGBTQ activist teacher has essentially kidnapped a 'trans' student, keeping her from her family, and where police have done nothing to return the girl to her mother.
Colorado also just passed legislation that makes taxpayers foot the bill for abortion, with Colorado House Speaker Julie McCluskie telling her fellow lawmakers aborting a child is more cost-effective than allowing a child to be born. This writer knows exactly where such thinking leads: to state-mandated abortions because it's cheaper for the taxpayers (and slakes the Left's thirst for unfettered abortions).
Is this 'keeping their hands off kids', Mr. McBride? Because it seems pretty hands-on to me.
The Democratic Party also supports the PRO Act, which would kill the gig economy, take away my freelance job here at Twitchy (and with it a decent portion of my income), and hit women the hardest -- because women rely on those gig economy jobs and other work to provide (or supplement) their income while having flexible time to care for their families.
They also support uncontrolled illegal immigration, bringing hardened criminals into this nation -- criminals who have raped, assaulted, and murdered far too many women. Women like Laken Riley or Rachel Morin or young girls like Ivory Smith and Jocelyn Nungaray.
It was the Democratic Party, led by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, who attempted to re-write Title IX of the Civil Rights Act to erase women as a separate, protected category in favor of allowing men -- men like Rep. McBride -- into their sports, their locker rooms, their bathrooms, and other gender-segregated spaces. It not only opened the door for such abuse, it would have penalized the women and schools who spoke out against it.
The Left -- including Rep. McBride -- demands women put aside their concerns and discomfort to allow men into their bathrooms and locker rooms. Democrats demand girls risk their health and physical safety playing against boys (and laugh about those girls who get hurt). When women and girls fight back, they are forced to change in front of boys -- in the name of 'tolerance', of course -- and punished for having the audacity to stand up for themselves.
McBride conveniently omits the fact that it is the Democrats can't even define what a woman is (unless they're pandering to us, of course). He's the very embodiment of that semantic nonsense, in fact. Democrats have no problem calling women 'egg producers' or 'womb owners' or 'birthing persons' or 'menstruating persons' to make guys like McBride feel welcome and affirmed. We are expected to be reduced to our anatomy and our bodily functions so Tim McBride can continue cosplaying as a woman.
And we're expected to do so with a smile on our faces and to thank the Democratic Party for all they do for us which -- frankly -- isn't much these days.
So if there's anyone that needs to keep their hands off kids and women's rights, it's the Democratic Party. Not Donald Trump.
