Just once, I'd really like Lefties to explain to me how I -- a woman -- can simultaneously be a girl-boss power queen who can do anything a man can do as well as a helpless victim of mean old Donald Trump.
Please.
Tell me how that dichotomy is not only true, but how it's even remotely plausible. Because it isn't.
Then again, consistency and logic were never the Left's strong suit. Political cynicism and hypocrisy however, are.
For years, the Left has worked to erase women like me from culture. We cannot be called 'women' because that offends 'trans women' (read: men), so we're 'birthing persons' or 'womb owners' or 'egg producers.' The Biden-Harris administration tried to codify into Title IX that those same men who think they're women not only have a right to access women's locker rooms, bathrooms, athletic teams, sororities, prisons, and domestic violence shelters -- but women like me who criticize it are guilty of violating their civil rights.

This is gender-based discrimination in favor of the trans agenda. To the point where this year's Best Actress Oscar will likely go to a man. This is relegating women to second-class status.
Republicans winning elections, on the other hand, does not.
Especially not when Donald Trump won white women by seven percentage points.
Yet Mother Jones wants women to believe we are now somehow less. And our families and neighbors are to blame because they voted for the BAD ORANGE MAN:
After the 2016 election, I wrote that Trump’s victory was a 'brutal affront to women' and 'all who value kindness and tolerance.' His administration plumbed new depths of chaos, corruption, and cruelty, and while some voters are too young to fully remember, his 2024 campaign made sure that no one could say they didn’t get what he stands for.
The women who voted for Harris know that—and they are not okay. About one-third of women now live in states with abortion bans, and anybody who believed that Trump won’t try for a national ban, or revive the Comstock Act to stop distribution of mifepristone or even contraception, is likely to be bitterly disappointed. Even if nationwide prohibitions don’t come to pass, women in red states, and their doctors, will be further surveilled to prevent abortions, and women trying to have children will continue to die in hospital parking lots because doctors are too afraid to provide lifesaving care. What else do the 'pronatalist' policies that JD Vance and Elon Musk have been so eager to enact hold for women?
For starters, perhaps women are 'suspicious, guarded, and apoplectic' because outlets like Mother Jones tell them they will 'die in hospital parking lots.'
This is a lie.
A lie repeated by AOC not too long ago.
But it also ignores the fact Donald Trump won amongst white women, who clearly didn't buy the Left's pro-abortion hysteria and claims of Trump's 'fascism.'
As always, Mother Jones reduces women like me to our anatomical parts and processes: I'm nothing but a vagina (sorry, front hole), and I must only care about consequence-free sex and my 'right' to abort my children.
I can't care about the fact eggs are now $5+ a dozen, or gas hovered around $3 a gallon under Biden. I shouldn't worry about hot wars with Russia or China. If I care about illegal immigration -- something that has killed far more women than the mythical ones 'bleeding out in parking lots' -- I'm a bigoted racist xenophobe and not a woman who wants to avoid suffering the same fate as Laken Riley or Rachel Morin.
Part of why I pulled the lever for Donald Trump was to give a proverbial middle finger to outlets like Mother Jones. These outlets, and the Democratic Party in general, clearly have no use for me outside of the ballot box. And they have no intent on making my interests and concerns their priorities.
They have every intention of continuing sewing discord and division, however. Consequences be damned.
What happens in four years when we're not forced into Handmaid's robes and there is no federal ban on abortion? What happens when the economy is better and crime is down and we have restored a sane immigration policy in place? Some of these women will remain true believers. Donald Trump could cure breast cancer tomorrow and they'd say he was denying them their right to a mastectomy.
But some of those women will realize the world didn't end, that they didn't lose their rights, and that things are actually pretty good even under Trump. They will realize they've been lied to, gaslight, and miserable so media and Democrats can use them for political gain.
Then that 'suspicious, guarded, and apoplectic' attitude will get directed back at places like Mother Jones, and it's game over.
