The media have been refreshingly honest about the Biden administration, and Joe Biden himself, in the last couple of weeks, haven't they?
They not only reported on his obvious cognitive decline, a decline that goes back almost to the start of his term, but they've also covered his dealings with pardoned son Hunter, publishing photos of the President and Hunter meeting with Chinese officials.
We were told by so-called intelligence 'experts' and the media that no such thing happened. Joe Biden himself vehemently denied ever having anything to do with his son's business dealings.
In fairness to Joe, his Swiss-cheese brain may not actually remember those meetings.
The media have no such excuse. They are not dementia-addled old men.

They are transparent partisan hacks, however. And this is gaslighting unseen since the Victorian era.
What they're doing now is some major covering of their a**es, and this is how they want it to play out: dump a flurry of negative stories about Biden now that he's packing up the Oval Office, pat themselves on the back for doing a journalism or two, and then move on to attacking the Bad Orange Man for the next four years.
They will try to diminish and minimize the Biden administration.

CNN reporter Edward-Isaac Dovere predicted that President Biden's legacy may be largely forgotten after he lost to President-elect Donald Trump in the 2024 election.
"I think it’s a really difficult thing for Joe Biden to know that he came into the presidency as a rejection of Donald Trump," Dovere said. "And here he is being replaced by Donald Trump."
Biden's approval ratings have fallen since October, with the president standing at 34% approval and 66% disapproval in a Marquette Law School national poll conducted Dec. 2-11. It is the lowest approval rating for Biden in Marquette Law School polling since the president entered the White House four years ago.
The media cannot be allowed to pretend Joe Biden was merely a filler between two Donald Trump terms.
Oh no.
Joe Biden must be remembered as one of the most vile men to ever sit behind the Resolute Desk, and his administration must go down as one of, if not the most, corrupt, damaging, and scandal-ridden administration in American history.
We'll start with the most obvious of scandals, because it is a blanket that covers all the others: Biden's cognitive health. It was clear, even during the 2020 campaign, he was not firing on all cylinders. The pandemic made it very easy for his handlers to hide his condition: few debates, small and tightly managed campaign events (COVID safety and all that!), and limited press exposure.
It wasn't until December 19, 2024 that The Wall Street Journal finally admitted there was a problem and that the White House staff had been working around what they called a 'diminished' Biden for years.
Earlier this year, when special counsel Robert Hur declined to bring charges against Joe Biden in the classified documents case, he cited Biden's failing cognitive health as one of the reasons why. The Left (and, going forward, I am including the media in this term for the sake of brevity) attacked Hur for it. The White House went so far as to alter transcript of the interview to make Biden seem less incompetent (he made car noises during the Hur interview).
In 2021, Joe Biden was unavailable to take phone calls related to the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal. Thirteen Marines were killed in an explosion at Abby Gate as a result of that botched withdrawal; and after costing them their lives, Joe Biden made their families wait hours for the dignified transfer of their remains because he had to nap on Air Force One.
The FBI and DOJ were weaponized. They classified veterans, parents, and traditional Catholics as domestic terrorists while ignoring the violent, destructive BLM/Antifa/pro-Hamas rioters who laid siege to cities around the country. Like January 6 defendants, pro-life Americans found themselves on the losing end of malicious prosecutions under the FACES Act.
That's a lot, isn't it?
But I'm not done yet. In the words of the late Billy Mays: 'But wait! There's more!'
At least four times during his administration, and in direct defiance of a Supreme Court ruling, Joe Biden put forth student loan forgiveness schemes. I guess 'no one is above the law' (D)oesn't apply to certain people, does it?
When Hurricanes Helene and Milton slammed the southeast, FEMA workers were under orders from the Biden administration to withhold aid from homes displaying Trump signs and flags in their yards. This happened while Biden continued sending billions of dollars to Ukraine.
I'd be remiss if I didn't mention illegal immigration under the Biden regime. Day one, he rescinded Trump-era immigration orders and threw open the southern border. Since then, we've seen record illegal immigration with deadly consequences for many Americans, including a woman on the New York subway who was killed after being set on fire by an illegal from Guatemala (who was deported under Trump and set loose in the country under Biden). And in an effort to thwart the Trump administration, Biden tried to sell off parts of the border wall for pennies on the dollar. That plan, at least, seems to have been thwarted.
After all that -- and it's over 5,000 words -- I've barely scratched the surface of just how corrupt the Biden regime has been. But the point is clear: Biden is not simply a 'guy who was just in between the Trump terms.' He, and his administration, are (awful).
As I said, it all points back to the fact Joe Biden is not now, nor was he ever, cognitively fit to be president. His administration, and all these decisions, have been done by unelected staffers and bureaucrats in his administration. The chaos, the weaponization of the federal government -- all of it -- is a direct result of that 'governance.'
Make no mistake: Joe Biden is not an innocent victim in all of this. He is as rotten and corrupt as the people around him. He always has been. Harry S. Truman had a sign on his desk that read 'the buck stops here' and, with the president, it always does. Joe Biden is not absolved of any of this, dementia or not.
But the media?
For four years they sat on their hands and said nothing until last week, because they were completely fine with all of it. And now, they're going to try to dismiss the last four years as a placeholder POTUS between two Trump administrations.
We cannot let them diminish Biden's record and legacy.
Joe Biden can, should, and must be remembered as the worst president in American history and his administration's legacy must be recorded as the corrupt, scandal-ridden, dishonest disaster that it is.
