Democrats: Party of Hurting Women

meme

One of the things I truly hope happens in the Donald Trump administration -- complete with a GOP-controlled House and Senate -- is the pursuit of consequences for Democratic politicians who lie about abortion.

I've written about the Left's abortion lies in the past. It's not just restricted to politicians like Kamala Harris, who made the name Amber Nicole Thurman a plank of her campaign by lying about Georgia's abortion laws. Thurman's family asked her to stop politicizing the death and Kamala didn't.

But Chrissy Teigen and People joined forces to classify her miscarriage care as an 'abortion' (an alarming, nefarious attempt by the Left to normalize abortion by shifting language to equate abortion to miscarriage care and childbirth). Nicholas Kristof of The New York Times also lied about Nevada's anti-abortion laws, trying to blame those laws for the arrest of a mom who intentionally caused a miscarriage.

It's a damning indictment of the Left that, much like making up racist incidents, they need to lie about anti-abortion laws. This tells me that anti-abortion laws aren't actually killing women.

Here's Rep. Pramila Jayapal also lying about Texas abortion laws.

Was I surprised to learn she -- like Kamala, Kristof, and Teigen -- is lying. Again.

The entire post reads:

Propublica's narrative that this situation is probably because Davis was afraid of abortion laws is incoherent for several reasons:

1. Texas abortion law allows intervention in medical emergencies

2. Texas abortion law explicitly states that removing embryonic or fetal remains after a miscarriage is not legally an abortion

3. Most relevant to this specific case: Texas abortion law applies equally to drugs or medications as it does to procedures or surgical interventions

Davis administered misoprostol, which is no more or less an abortion than doing a D&C.

In order to try to make Ngumezi’s death about abortion laws, Propublica has to come up with some kind of narrative to explain why Davis would be afraid of procedures that could be interpreted as abortion but not afraid of administering abortion pills.

Their explanation? Misoprostol is commonly used for other obstetric situations besides abortion. That explanation doesn't really help them here, because D&Cs are also commonly used for obstetric situations besides abortion.

But we've long since seen that Propublica isn't trying to objectively investigate what's going on. They're just trying to find deaths they can blame on abortion laws.

This has to stop.

It's this, this indiscriminate, bold-faced lying -- not anti-abortion laws -- that harms women and puts their lives at risk.

The only conclusion I can draw is the Democrats want a woman to actually die from anti-abortion laws. Their insistence on lying about women who have died from complications of abortion, like Thurman, or from possible malpractice, like Ngumezi, tells me they'd be happy to have a woman die so they can stand on her grave for political gain.

There is no anti-abortion law that prohibits care for miscarriages or ectopic pregnancies. Not one.

Not one woman has died from anti-abortion laws. Thurman died from complications of a chemical abortion. Ngumezi died from a doctor administering an abortion drug

But politicians like Jayapal really hope you don't pay attention to the facts of any of those cases, and they really hope they get a case where the facts fit their narrative.

Which is why the GOP needs to hold Rep. Jayapal accountable for her lies and make it very clear -- to Democrats and the women they supposedly support -- that lying about abortion won't be tolerated.

Because it actually harms women.
