God bless Ben Shapiro for going into the lion's den. He sat down in a room of Kamala supporters and had a discussion with them. It's the kind of political discourse we need, but one that we are sorely lacking.
And after watching this video, I am beginning to understand why we're lacking:
Surrounded by 25 Kamala supporters and leftists, @benshapiro patiently explains what abortion actually is:

Pro-abortion woman: “Why does the definition of abortion have to do with the death of a fetus?”
Ben: “Because that’s literally the definition of an abortion.” pic.twitter.com/SfiGokQ2eo
How, exactly, do you argue with ignorance that profound?
Shapiro is correct: life begins at conception and abortion is the intentional intentional death of a fetus.
These are very simple concepts that should be explicitly clear to people on both sides of the abortion issue. But they're not.
I have spent many years online, in blogs and chat rooms as well as X, and I have seen what the intentional erosion of language has done to obfuscate the material facts around abortion.
This is why, for example, the Left will call an unborn child -- even through the third trimester -- a 'clump of cells', and why they vehemently deny that a fetus has a heartbeat, referring to it as 'cardiac pole activity.'
Or why, more nefariously, the Left has decided to equate abortion with actual health care for pregnant women, including saying women will be denied care for ectopic pregnancies and miscarriages. Ectopic pregnancies are medical emergencies and not abortions. In an ectopic pregnancy, the baby will die because she has to be removed from the fallopian tube. is tragic and one of the worst things a woman will ever experience. But it is like saying a car accident that results in the death of an unborn child is an 'abortion'; it's not. It's a tragedy, a medical emergency. Likewise with a miscarriage, where a baby has died and the remains need to be removed. This, too, is a tragedy.
Which is why the Left using ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage treatment to scare women and push for unfettered is beyond despicable.
In no world is a c-section a form of abortion. It is the ending of a pregnancy with the birth of a child. It is a surgical procedure with the same outcome as a vaginal birth: the delivery of a baby. Calling it a form of 'abortion' is meant to conflate abortion and delivery of a child and normalize the former.
The circular logic of the morally relative Left requires they argue in such logic circles, and requires the conflation of terms that have precise, specific meanings. Much like Kamala Harris and her word salads, the confusion is the point.
When supporters don't understand what they support because it's been hidden by coded language and euphemism and lies, it's easy to keep them on your side.
It's much harder to convince the thinking population, however.
