You Don't Despise the Media Enough: Only SOME Baseless Claims Are Bad (Take a Guess Whose)

Journalism meme

The media has long been the propaganda arm of the Democrat party. Thanks to social media, cesspool though it may be at times, we've been able to shine a light on just how corrupt, biased, and untrustworthy they are.

Their favorite target currently is, of course, Donald Trump. They pour over every word, every statement and loudly proclaim he's lying both when he is and even when he isn't.

So when the AP comes at us with this pearl-clutching post about Trump's immigration rhetoric having 'baseless claims', we laugh, and then we get mad:

The AP writes:

Former President Donald Trump on Saturday further escalated his immigration rhetoric and baselessly accused President Joe Biden of waging a “conspiracy to overthrow the United States of America” as he campaigned ahead of Super Tuesday’s primaries.

Trump has a long history of trying to turn attack lines back on his rivals in an attempt to diminish their impact. Biden has cast Trump as a threat to democracy, pointing to the former president’s efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Those efforts culminated in the attack on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, as his supporters tried to halt the peaceful transition of power.

Trump, who has responded by calling Biden “the real threat to democracy” and alleged without proof that Biden is responsible for the indictments he faces, turned to Biden’s border policies on Saturday, charging that “every day Joe Biden is giving aid and comfort to foreign enemies of the United States.”

Do they really want to play this game?

Do they want to point out Trump's 'baseless claims' while they turn a blind eye to Biden's and the Democrats baseless claims? And pretend we don't remember or didn't notice?

Fine. Let's play this game. Here are just a few examples of the baseless claims the Democrats have used in their campaign and political rhetoric:

From 2001-2007 (and beyond), Biden has claimed a 'drunk driver' killed his first wife and infant daughter. This is not true.

In the 2012 campaign, Biden said Mitt Romney would put Black Americans back in chains while the Obama campaign accused Romney of giving a woman cancer and bullying gay classmates.

They said Nikki Haley was just like Hitler's girlfriend, Eva Braun.

President Biden lies. Constantly. It's as easy as breathing for him.

He lied about special counsel Robert Hur brining up his deceased son. Biden did that.

He lied about where his son Beau died (it wasn't in Iraq).

He lied about where he was on 9/11. And the media called it 'embellishments.'

The WaPo wrote an entire article on Biden's stories that 'cannot be verified' (isn't there a word for that)?

He loves to tell this debunked Amtrak story, and the time his house burned down (it didn't).

There are many, many times when Biden's rhetoric is rooted in seriously 'baseless claims' and the media ignores them, or plays semantics to make what Biden says technically true, but not really true.

They call Biden the 'storyteller in chief' in a NYT puff piece, which is just a lot of words to say 'liar'. But they think it's cute when he does it. That whole 'Gee, shucks, Grandpa Joe is at it again!' nonsense.

We have eyes, ears, and brains. We see what the media does and does not classify as 'baseless.'

Yes, they are.

Biden rescinded Trump's executive orders concerning the borders on day one in office.

This was intentional.

They engage in a lot of misinformation, but it's okay when they do it.

And it's baseless.

'Trump is a threat to democracy', 'Trump is a dictator', 'Trump is a fascist' -- all of these claims are baseless, and yet the media pushes them. Hard.

They don't seem to understand that the reason a lot of Trump voters don't care if he lies is because the media made it clear it's okay for politicians to lie if we like their agenda. People are sick of it; media trust is at all-time lows, the industry is facing massive layoffs, and yet they persist in playing these games when we can all see right through them.

They don't care about baseless claims when a Democrat does it. They spread the lies loudly and proudly and only report the truth when they're shamed (or sued) into doing so. And while the lie is a front-page headline, the retraction is buried back by the classifieds in ten-point font.

Our media are absolutely despicable, partisan hacks who deserve every ounce of contempt we give them.
