For the last week, water cooler conversation in Washington has circulated around whether Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would be replaced by Sen. John Kerry or UN Ambassador Susan Rice. At least according to the Washington Post, it now looks as if Rice is the favorite. However, the big bombshell is that Kerry may be made Secretary of Defense as a consolation prize.
So, if you were frightened by the idea of John Kerry becoming the nation’s top diplomat, think of how much fun he could have running the military!

More than a few people are troubled by the idea of putting our men under the command of a man who spent the most of the 1970s as a radical anti-war protester.
Would be an insult to all who serve/d RT @zerohedge: Kerry, John Kerry: Defense Secretary http://t.co/EcGuGgXV

Anti-war activist John Kerry for Sec of Defense? Didn't he smear the reputations of all who served in Vietnam before Congress in 1971?

Yeah, people are going to love serving under this guy. We’re sure the generals will fall right in line behind a guy who threw his medals away in protest.
